Questions I get asked

If yours isn't here, ask it directly. I'd rather answer than have you guess.

What kind of work do you take on?
Full products, and the pieces of them: web frontends, mobile apps, APIs, and the system design holding it together. I'm most useful where correctness matters more than raw shipping speed, so money, health records, identity. Having one person own both the API and the screen consuming it saves you a whole class of argument.
Are you available for contract work right now?
Yes. I take on contract engagements alongside my full-time role, and I'm also open to the right full-time position. Tell me the scope and timeline and I'll tell you honestly whether I can do it justice.
How quickly do you reply?
Within one business day. If a project isn't a fit, I'll say so in that first reply rather than leaving you waiting.
What time zone do you work in, and does that cause problems?
I'm in Lagos on WAT (UTC+1). That's a full working-day overlap with the UK and continental Europe, and about four hours with the US East Coast. In practice, European clients notice no difference at all.
Are you frontend, backend or mobile?
All three, and the system design that decides how they fit together. This site and its 3D workspace are mine end to end; so are a live streaming platform from RTMP ingestion to adaptive playback, and an S3-compatible storage server with its own web interface. The deepest production experience is in backend and infrastructure, but I'm not handing you an API and walking away from the app that consumes it.
Can you join an existing team rather than work solo?
That's most of what contract work is. I match your stack, your conventions and your review process. Importing my own preferences into someone else's codebase creates work for the people who stay after I leave.
What do you need from me to get started?
The problem in plain language, whatever constraints are non-negotiable, and access to the existing system if there is one. You don't need a written spec ready. Producing one is often the first useful thing I do.
Do you sign NDAs?
Yes. Some of the product write-ups here are deliberately general for exactly this reason.

Still deciding?

Read how I work, or look through the products to see whether the kind of problem I take on matches yours.
